Pots of the Past
Just as an interesting reference, I am adding a couple of pictures from pots I made in the six months prior to my break from clay in order to start a family. It will be something to see how my pottery has evolved in the timespan between then and now.
Someone once told me the pot is the sum total of all the experiences of the individual, whether those experiences be learned within the confines of the studio or elsewhere, be that as it may ... here are a couple of older pots for your viewing pleasure.
The pot directly above is a salt bowl I made, this next one is a wine keeper - the general idea is place the wine keeper in the freezer, once good and cold place the wine bottle in the keeper. Your wine should stay cold for a long time.
This last one is a tea bowl I made for myself. I enjoy both tea and coffee out it.
Anyway I hope this is a good idea of what was the standard some years ago.
