Yesterday, time went too fast.

Made it to Manassas Clay yesterday without incident. Last time well lets just say I got there and had to leave again to spend the day in Prince William hospital with my son. Apparently the spirit of Manassas doesn't appreciate my boys.

At anyrate, we arrived one and all (yes the entire clan, and clan to be) I immediately went and collected all my bisque'd pots and began the process of adding red-iron oxide and then removing it from the pots much like antiquing.

What went into the kiln;
  1. A bowl
  2. Two Honey Pots
  3. A tea pot (from the Kevin Crowe workshop)
  4. A vase
  5. A Genie bottle vase
Of particular importance to me was/is/shall be the Honey Pots, I need those out and done soon. I am running against a deadline there.

The lesson yesterday was on lidded jars, I chose to do two more honey pots. I am not sure those will be completed on time, however I will get them completed unless of course I didn't wrap them well enough and then well ... it will be as the godess of the kiln wills. This two week cycle is making it interesting to say the least.

When you're having fun time goes so fast, and yesterday was no exception.

Peace,
