Bark like a B&t&h ... bloody blog
Don't F&*( with da Hooie or da Hooie will F^&* with you ... yeah, great song and terribly terrifyingly true. Which I found out to my everlasting regret a night or so ago and since then I have been in recovery mode.
I've been reading (Yes, I read ... alot) about blogging, how to make a killer blog, what people want to see etc ... and messing with web technology is what I do for a *day job at the moment. Meh, anyhow I got this bright idea driven by several articles and books to create seperate archival pages for certain things. Wonderful idea in theory, even fairly easy to do - until it wasn't. Mmmm, hmmm - Murphy the rotten two-faced bastard struck with lightning speed and left me holding my shorts sans archive.
I tried reversion, recursion, and reversion recursion - moving the template style which by the bloody damned way does show the archive but as soon as I uploaded my scheme pffft like smoke over the water. I tried exporting the entire site, taking it back to the default widgets ... and every other damned thing I could think of .... nothing.
Finally I had an epiphany, and compared another blog's xml code to mine - yep two little lines of code missing. Add in those lines, hold breath and walla budda bing budda bang. We're back in business so the moral of this here tale is
... Do Not, I repeat - Do Not F%^& with da Hooie cause it will surely F^&% with you, and it's meaner than you are.
